AreoPress

How to Brew

AeroPress Coffee

The AeroPress, makes some beautiful coffee. This method uses a short brewing time and pressure to create a delightfully complex cup of coffee.

And, it’s just really damn cool.

THE MATERIALS

Fresh beans
• Fresh water
• AreoPress
• Filter
• Gooseneck kettle
• Coffee grinder

THE MEASUREMENTS

We recommend 2 TBSP of coffee for every 1 cup of water.

For the bold folks out there, use more. And for the, um, less bold… you get it..

THE METHOD

STEP 1

BOIL COLD, CLEAN WATER.

Let water rest for at least 30 seconds after bringing it to a boil.

STEP 2

GRIND BEANS. MEDIUM FINE.

Think small sand. Not baby powder. This coffee requires pressure to extract flavour, so smaller is better!

STEP 3

FILTER UP!

Put a filter in the cap and twist the cap onto the chamber.

STEP 4

PREP FILTER & HEAT MUG.
Use a sturdy mug. Place chamber on mug. Pour a bit of water through the chamber to rinse filter and preheat mug. Get rid of the water once the mug’s heated.

STEP 5

ADD GROUNDS.

Place the coffee in the chamber. Give the chamber a side-to-side shake to level the grounds.

STEP 6
ADD WATER.

Pour water over the grounds in a circular motion. Fill up to No. 4 (marked on the chamber).

Making sure all grounds are soaked.

STEP 7
STIR IT UP.

Give those grounds and hot water a stir, little darlin’. Maybe even a swirl.

STEP 8

GIVE IT A PLUNGE.

Put the plunger in on an angle just at the top of the chamber. Let it all sit fer a sec, while the hot water does its work. Remove the plunger and give it one more stir. Replace the plunger and now slowly press all the way down. Listen for the hiss when it’s complete.

STEP 9

SERVE. SIP. SAVOUR.

STEP 10

REPEAT. SHARE. WAKE UP & KICK ASS.
