Kicking Ass - Together

We’re dedicated to strong community involvement, both locally and throughout B.C. We are involved with such groups as the Nature Conservancy of Canada and numerous local food banks. As well, we support the annual Wings over the Rockies festival and a bunch of other charitable and sports related events to be part of the community.

  • Access Fund – is the national advocacy organization that keeps U.S. climbing areas open and conserves the climbing environment. Founded in 1991, the Access Fund supports and represents over 2.3 million climbers nationwide in all forms of climbing: rock, ice, mountaineering, and bouldering.
  • The Banff Mountain Film & Book Festival — Be inspired. Be energized. Celebrate the spirit of adventure at the Banff Mountain Film and Book Festival. Experience the adventure of climbing, mountain expeditions, mountain sport, environment and remote cultures.
  • Habitat for Humanity — Helps people build affordable housing at sites across the country.
  • Idle Free BC — The town of Invermere knows idling cars go nowhere. And they've moved towards being idle-free. Anti-Idling Brochure (PDF Brochure 1MB).
  • Jumbo Creek Conservation Society (JCCS) — Educating the public about the consequences of the proposed Jumbo Glacier Resort.
  • Living Lakes Network Canada — is a network of action-oriented NGOs that facilitate and initiate projects in the fields of science, education and restoration, that result in long-term protection of our precious freshwater resources.
  • The Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) — We commit a percentage of our pre-tax profits to help conserve land in the Rocky Mountains of British Columbia.
  • The North Face Never Stop Exploring Speaker Series – Hear the stories behind the adventures and films! Check the website for a location near you and also live feeds from the events!
  • Pretty Faces Film Premiers – A ski and adventure sports film celebrating women’s' achievements in the mountains while inspiring girls of all ages to believe in their dreams. The lessons learned on the mountain parallel those learned by many women who take the path less traveled.
  • Purple Hill Humanitarians — brings access to education and health services to rural Nicaraguan communities.
  • Squamish Mountain Festival presented by Arcteryx | Squamish, BC — The vision of this festival is to provide a grassroots gathering to celebrate the magic of climbing, bouldering and mountain culture.
  • Wildsight — We support Wildsight’s Climate Solutions for the Kootenays program; which aims to help mobilize citizens, businesses and local governments to help BC reach its emission-reduction targets in a timely fashion. The community outreach portion of the work will begin with Invermere and Fernie as the pilot communities. As well as the Lake Windermere Project for lake water quality monitoring and supporting the citizen based Ambassador program which acts as the lake “watchdog”.
  • Wings over the Rockies — A festival of birds, wetlands and wildlife that takes place each May. Your purchase of our shade-grown coffee helps fund the festival.

 

  • 24 hours of Adrenalin | Canmore, AB — A 24 hour mountain bike race in the heart of the Canadian Rockies at the Canmore Nordic centre.
  • 5 Peaks Trail Running Series — Canada’s premier trail running series. Positive impact on you, no impact on the environment!
  • ADK 80 | Lake Placid, NY – This is an eight of a kind endurance racing event for trail runners and off road cyclists.  The race covers 80 km in a figure 8 with $8000 in prizes in 8 categories with an 8:00 am start.  It raises money for local trails and environmental causes.
  • Ales and Trails | San Rafael, CA – This is an annual benefit for IMBA Northern California featuring professional skills clinics, bike and product demos,  guided rides, live music, beer gardens, gourmet lunch and Kick Ass coffee samples!
  • Athleta Esprit de She Triathlon | San Diego, CA – held at South Shores Park where the plentiful palm trees and sandy beaches, plus views of Fiesta Island, will have you ready for a race in paradise. After the race, participants enjoy tasty tapas and energetic tunes while browsing a bustling, community market showcasing fresh produce, local artisans, creative projects and more! 
  • California 100 Rivers for Change — a 100 mile, one day paddling race on the Sacramento River which is a fundraiser for California River advocacy.
  • Chico Racing — Organizer of North America’s largest 24 hour Mountain Bike Race in Ontario, Canada.
  • Columbia Valley Cycling Society — Promote safe, legal and sustainable mountain bike trails in the Columbia valley
  • Dirt Series — Getting more women on their bikes, teaching technical mountain bike skills to thousands of women.
  • Firecracker 50 | Breckenridge, CO — This mountain bike epic unique combination of great participants, enthusiastic volunteers, the Main St Parade Start, the Wild Turkey Challenge, Little French Gulch, the Woolie Boolies.
  • Granfondo Garneau Quebecor — Hosted by Louis Garneau this road cycling event is 110 km from Trois Rivieres to Quebec City.
  • Heart of the Rockies Triathlon —  An Olympic distance triathlon in Invermere, British Columbia.
  • IMBA —  We are proud to have partnered with the International Mountain Bike Association. IMBA works to bring out the best in mountain biking by encouraging low-impact riding, volunteer trail work participation, cooperation among trail user groups, grassroots advocacy and innovative trail management solutions.
  • IMBA World Summit | Steamboat Springs, CO —  This event brings together mountain bike enthusiasts, volunteers, trail builders and thought leaders with bike industry representatives, land managers and government officials with the goal of sharing ideas, learning new things and riding great trails!
  • Leadman Triathlon | Bend, OR – After an epic 5K swim in Oregon's deep, cool Cultus Lake, a 223K bike course around Mount Bachelor and a two-loop course around Tetherow Golf Course, participants let their new belt buckle do the talking. Earned with guts, worn with pride.
  • Lifetime Tri Oceanside | CA – Before crossing the finish line on the spectator-filled strand, participants will take in the signature sights of beachfront SoCal, mingled with Oceanside's old fishing village charm. Oceanside Pier, the famous Top Gun house, and the collage of wood-framed specialty shops, restaurants and a lighthouse will form the picture-perfect backdrop to this competitive experience.
  • Local Ride Racing — Based out of Local Ride Bike shop in Maple BC, Local Ride Racing (LRR) is one of BC’s best represented cycling team. With racers of all ages and disciplines, if you’ve been to a local race in BC, or national level race in Canada, chances are you’ve seen them.
  • Nipika Events — Nipika Mountain Resort hosts a series of events throughout the year. From their well know loppets and Crazy Soles trail run to the Kootenay Krusher mountain bike race. They also offer a series of programs from the Learn to Ski week to the Get Your Running Legs On trail running week.
  • Prospera Granfondo Axel Merckx | Okanagan — Ride 50-160 km through British Columbia's scenic wine country.
  • Quilicot-Rackultra cycling team — Best Master team in Quebec!
  • Rainbow Sandals Battle of the Paddle | Dana Point, CA – This is the world's largest Stand Up Paddle board event and exposition which supports middle school and high school education and athletic programs, and contributes to organizations that provide after school enrichment activities.
  • Rebecca's Private Idaho | Ketchum, ID –  Professional cyclist  Rebecca Rusch is holding a mountain bike race in her backyard to showcase the downhome hospitality and stunning scenery including snow-capped peaks, endless miles of singletrack, distant dirt roads into ancient glacial basins, and high country that defines the western landscape.
  • RM Events — Fun, safe and healthy triathlon events in the Canadian Rockies.
  • Santa Barbara Triathlon — Kicking Ass at one of the longest and most scenic triathlons in the world.
  • Silver Rush 50 Bike | Leadville, CO – Need a nice challenge? Then forget this one. It’s nasty. Cut the Leadville Trail 100 MTB in half, remove all the easy parts, throw in technical descents, burning lungs and wild animals and you'll have a good understanding of what you’re about to get into.
  • Silver Rush 50 Run | Leadville, CO – Take on 50 miles of extreme territory that starts at 10,200 feet and reaches 12,000 feet on four separate occasions at the Silver Rush 50 Run. It will leave your lungs burning, heart pounding and eyes completely amazed.
  • Stampede Road Race — A Calgary, AB tradition with running distances ranging from 5km to a half marathon.
  • Steamboat Stinger | Steamboat Springs, CO  — A mountain bike race, trail marathon and half marathon which aim to provide a challenging backcountry experience showcasing some of Steamboat Springs finest singletrack.  This Colorado Classic is put on by our friends at Honey Stinger.
  • SUP Salmon Classic | Washougal, WA — Coinciding with the fall Chinook Salmon run, Standup Paddleboard athletes take to the waters of the Columbia River Gorge.  The day also celebrates the rich culture of the Chinook Indians and their strong traditional ties to the community.
  • Superfly Racing — Mountain Bike events, Ontario Cup Series in Ontario, Canada
  • Tahoe Trail 100 – Straddling the borders of Nevada and California, the Sierra Nevada is a mountain biker's dream. The Tahoe Trail 100 offers athletes a course filled with beautiful views of Lake Tahoe, rocky summits and breathtaking pine forests in every direction.
  • Tour de Victoria — The Ryder Hesjedal’s Tour de Victoria is a supported mass participation cycling event, catering to all fitness levels by offering three distances: for the enthusiast to the entry-level rider to those who want to experience cycling for the first time!
  • TransRockies Events — A series of events ranging from epic single track mountain bike riding through the Canadian Rockies, to  road riding and trail running.
  • The Yeti — Is the first Canadian mountain snowshoe racing series. Check out their video
  • Victoria Granfondo — Big Ride, Big Adventure.  This ride is a 270 km paved loop through the wild landscape of southern Vancouver Island.
